Our story
Allow me to introduce the owner, Jessalyn Rae Ensey. Her career background consists of Business Management. She has been in the Childcare industry for almost 10 years now as a licensed provider of Dickinson, North Dakota. She has 3 children of her own, ages 12, 10, and 6 and has been married for 13 years. Her background and experience consists of working with disabilities, developmental challenges, allergies and minor behavioral/sensory disorders. Jessalyn has been an active Admin on the Dickinson Babysitting and Daycare, Licensed Childcare Provider Dickinson ND, ND Moms Club, What's Up Dickinson, Dickinson ND Classifieds Facebook pages and have been voted as Best Choice for Childcare Providers in the city of Dickinson for 2024 and 2025, and has been nominated since 2021.
Her children are actively involved in community sports and her husband owns Ensey Contracting, LLC. As a family, they have made many community tributes involving all their entrepreneurial endeavors.


Our history
From modest beginnings, Small World Daycare, LLC has grown through unwavering dedication and a commitment to continuous improvement. Each step has reinforced our core belief in the power of collaboration and the importance of integrity. Jessalyn started offering childcare when her provider gave a 3 day notice for closure back in 2015. As a mother of 2 young boys, childcare was difficult to find. Calling into work for nearly a month before finally making the tough decision to stay home. Our priority is making an effort to remain punctual and reliable, while catering to working families so we could eliminate the stress parents feel having to leave their children with someone you couldn't trust. Our ultimate goal at Small World Daycare, LLC is to provide a safe place for parents to not stress about the quality of care and reliability from our program.

Prerequisites for employment:
- Must be able to pass a fingerprint and background check
- Must be able to provide 3 references - 2 related to childcare or child development is preferred but not required
- First Aid and CPR certified for pediatrics
- Complete the mandatory training prior to the official start date
